Passo Nota is located on the border between Trentino and Lombardy. It is an area of woods and meadows between the mountains of Alto Garda and Tremalzo.
On the heights near the refuge, the trenches built by Italian soldiers during the Great War are still visible and a small military cemetery where the fallen are buried.

Mountain hikes require specific clothing and equipment. Even for relatively short and easy outings, it is always better to be well equipped to avoid unpleasant surprises and to face unforeseen events such as, for example, a sudden storm or an energy drop.
What to bring for a mountain trekking?
In your backpack (for a day hike usually recommended is 25/30L) it is good to bring:
Wear shoes suitable for the route and season. The trail surface can be uneven or rough and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from sprains. A grassy slope, a rock slab or a steep path, if wet, can become dangerous without appropriate footwear.
Finally... don't forget the camera! It will be useful to capture the hike and the countless breathtaking views that Garda Trentino hides around every corner. If you want to share your memories with us you can use the hashtag #GardaTrentino
